Rainwater Harvesting Workshop

Rainwater can be reused in daily activities as cleaning, toilets, sinks, gardens and crops irrigation; installation costs and operation of the system is much lower than pumping or maintenance of it; doing it, reduces over exploitation of water resources and costs caused by home activities.

Also helps to reduce public demand of water supply, works out well with public drainages networks avoiding possible flooding while not receiving rain that falls from the roofs, promotes water usage awareness in society, can be a powerful strategy  for fighting water shortage.

As part of the environmental commitment, the institution organized a rainwater harvesting workshop for the community, provided by engineer Adolfo Salinas of UNA-HIDROSEC. It was oriented mostly towards businesses that have a high demand in the consumption of water.
